Are you wondering whether your athletic level would allow you to join
the RMC Saint-Jean Remparts teams?
The RMC Saint-Jean Remparts athletics program is structured around two disciplines: cross-country and track and field. These components take place throughout the academic year and allow for the progressive development of athletes while respecting the demands of the academic and military training programs.
Cross-Country
The cross-country season runs from late August to late October. It includes approximately six university-level competitions held in Quebec and the United States, usually on Saturdays.
Athletes take part in four to six running practices per week (about one hour per session), in addition to two strength-training sessions. Following the training program is essential to ensure proper progression and to reduce the risk of injury. A short break is scheduled at the end of the season before the start of the indoor track season.
Track and field

The indoor track season runs from late August to late February and includes approximately seven university-level competitions in Quebec and the United States. Some competitions take place over two days (Friday and Saturday).
Sprinters, jumpers, and throwers generally begin competing in November, while middle-distance athletes coming from the cross-country season usually start in December. The training program includes four to six sessions per week, in addition to two strength-training sessions, with coaching focused on long-term athlete development.
